Preschool Curriculum
Sensorial
Dr. Maria Montessori recognized that all of knowledge is acquired through our senses. Therefore, the development of our senses provides a base for all of our additional learning. Children spend time refining their visual perception of size, color, and shape, as well as touch, smell, taste and sound in the Montessori classroom.

Language Arts
Our Language Arts curriculum is an integrated curriculum for speech and vocabulary development, reading, and writing. Daily songs and stories help children develop their speech and vocabulary as well as build an understanding of our language. The Montessori materials lay a phonics foundation for literacy, from which the children build their reading and writing fluency through a balanced approach of phonics and whole language activities.

Mathematics
The Montessori Mathematics curriculum guides the child through developing a thorough understanding of numbers and basic operations by following the natural progression from the concrete to the abstract. By working with concrete items, such as the bead material, young children are able to learn how to work with numbers in a natural way.
